Before your first visit
How much does a farm call cost?
Pricing depends on the services your horse needs and where your farm is located. We’ll give you an estimate before any services are performed, so there are no surprises.
What do I need to have ready for a farm call?
A safe, well-lit area with level footing, your horse caught and haltered, and a handler who knows the horse. Access to water and power is helpful for dentistry, X-rays, and ultrasound.
Do you handle emergencies?
We’re here when your horse needs us. Call (864) 696-2905 during business hours, or after hours until 10:00 pm.
- After-hours calls: A member of our team will answer, gather the details, and help you decide on next steps. If your horse needs to be seen, we’ll send a veterinarian out. Please keep your phone nearby, since your vet may call on the way with questions or guidance.
- Veterinarian consults: If you’d like to talk with one of our doctors directly, after-hours phone consults are $175. If we then come out to your farm, the full $175 is credited toward your emergency visit.
- After 10:00 pm: Please contact a 24-hour equine hospital. We recommend Tryon Equine or UGA College of Veterinary Medicine.
